A Feast of Foreign Films in Dungog

Home

Cinema to reopen very soon!

The long and the short of recent events is that the Cinema will soon be equipped with the latest digital projector and”the big screen in Dungog” will be up and running again by May 2012 at best estimates. The situation has meant that the crew at AGOG have been unable to host Flickerfest this year BUT keep posted as we may just try to run it after we have the cinema operating again.

The feast of Foriegn Films called AGOG will run again, for the fourth year in September 2012. Details of the films we will screen will be announced later.

The Dungog Film Society has more news.

Done and dusted

Well our 3rd annual AGOG Feast of Foreign Films in Dungog – 6 films 2 nights – was on Friday September 2 and Saturday September 3, 2011, and it went well.

Flickerfest flew!

The Touring Flickerfest programme at Dungog Cinema on Saturday 12 February 2011 was a great success. The day went quickly despite over 490 bums on seats in the cinema! Its great to see the James Theatre being used and enjoyed like this.

Dungog

If you decide to make a weekend of your visit to Dungog try the Carriageway or contact the Dungog Visitor Information Centre (VIC) on 49922212. There are plenty of things to do in and around Dungog: the museum, coffee shops, restaurants and wineries, take the heritage walk about town (the VIC has a map), take a day trip into the Barrington Tops National Park or the surrounding State Forests – the rivers are sublime – just ask the VIC for 101 Things to do in the District.
